Arsenal Football Club (also known as Arsenal, The Arsenal or The Gunners) are an English premiership football club based in north London. They play in the FA Premier League and are one of the most successful clubs in English football league history. Arsenal have won thirteen First Division and Premier League titles, and the FA Cup many times, although the team have yet to achieve similar success in the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal were founded in south-east London in 1886, but moved to their previous home ground Highbury in 1913. In August 2006 the club moved to the new 60,000-seat Emirates Stadium in nearby Ashburton Grove. Arsenal have a long-standing and fierce rivalry with Tottenham Hotspur, from nearby Tottenham, whom they play in the North London derby.

Arsenal's biggest title rivalry in recent years has been with Manchester United, being the two teams who dominated English football in the early Premier League era. However since moving to the Emirates Arsene Wenger has had to manage the team on a shoestring budget which saw many of their best players sold. The managers policy in believing in youth finally looked like it was starting to pay dividends after a great start to the 2013/14 season however the weakness in the squad began to show early in the new year and their title bid faded badly with them eventually finishing 4th and facing a play-off to qualify for the Champions League. However with the finances seemingly sorted once and for all Arsenal are looked to be a real title contenders in the 2014/15 season having spent 47 million on Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy. It was a bit of a surprise to see them suffering again from their same problems, something that Wenger will be looking to solve one and for all this season. There seems to be a lot of genuine optimism amongst Arsenal fans this year and only time will tell if it has been well placed. For my money I think they are going to be right up there.
