Golf - Watch The US Open Live Online

Golf, the US Open - Live On The Internet

Fast greens, lots of bunkers and the world beating golfers, the US Open is finally here. The second of the majors tees off at The Blue Course, Congressional Country Club on Thursday 16th June 2011, with Ulsterman Greame McDowell the current champion. The US Open is seen by a lot of people to be the most exciting golf event of the year, with the USPGA setting the worlds best golfers a serious challenge. From the 402 yard Par 4 first to the 523 yard Par 4 last all this years US Open competitors are sure to get no easy holes! The course at Congressional Country Club will be set up at 7,250 yards and a total of par 70, even the maths says this is going to be tough. I don't think we'll be seeing any record under par scores this year.

This years tournament would have been seen as yet another comeback for Tiger Woods, but nope, not this time. Without Tiger Woods taking part in the US Open it has led some to question where the appeal is going to be? They must be forgetting that the all the top players in the world are still going to be there and all challenging for the title. There is more to golf than Tiger Woods!

The US Open is one of the most watched golf tournaments in the world, it is one of those tournaments that really does attract a global audience. It's not unknown for people to take days of work for this one! TV coverage will be extensive in most countries but if you do get stuck there will also be a lot of ways online of keeping up with the current action and leader board. For details of what programs and what channels are showing the US Open live on the internet and at what times please take a look at the Daily Schedule link on the schedules page during the US Open.
